5 Hiking Trails in Ventura County Coast

 

With temperatures starting to cool down, fall is the perfect time to hike in Ventura County Coast. The west end of the Santa Monica Mountains extend into Ventura County providing some great trails with amazing mountain and ocean views. Here are five hiking trails to check out in and around Ventura County Coast!

 

1. Arroyo Verde Park

Arroyo Verde Park Loop is a 2.9 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Ventura, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and trail running and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. 2.  Smugglers Cove Trail

Smugglers Cove Trail is a 7.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. 3. Ocean’s Edge and River’s Edge Trail

The Ocean’s Edge and River’s Edge Trails are located in Emma Wood State beach which borders both the Pacific Ocean and Ventura River. It is an easy 1.5 mile loop through Emma Wood State Beach where you can see the beach, river, and the estuary. For more information click here. PC: @shannonhager

 

4. Potato Harbor Trail

Potato Harbor Trail is a 4 mile out and back trail located in Channel Islands National Park that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. 5. Camarillo Grove Park
