About: “Women in Classical Music” invites audiences into an inspiring evening celebrating three groundbreaking composers who helped shape the orchestral tradition. The program opens with the bright, energy of Germaine Tailleferre’s Concerto No. 1 for Piano and Orchestra, followed by Florence Price’s moving Piano Concerto in D Minor performed by acclaimed pianist Natasha Kislenko. The experience culminates in Emilie Mayer’s expressive Symphony No. 7 in F Minor, a dramatic work that highlights the depth and originality of her symphonic voice. Together, these pieces create a rich and engaging journey through the artistry and lasting legacy of women in classical music.
