What’s Going On: November Events In Ventura County Coast

 

Fall is in full effect and Winter is just around the corner. Things are getting festive here in Ventura County Coast! Take a look at what events are going on.

 

Here’s a list of six events happening in Ventura County Coast.

 

1. Ventura County Farm Day

Farm Day is a day when over 20 participating Ventura County farms open their doors for free, enabling the public to learn about agriculture firsthand. Attendees pick the locations they want to visit and drive themselves to the farms. Each farm has fun-filled activities for the entire family to enjoy. In order to enjoy everything each farm has to offer, attendees should plan to go to two, possibly three farms on Farm Day. The event takes place on Saturday, November 4 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. 2. First Fridays Ventura Art

Every first Friday of the month, visual fine art spaces on the Westside, Downtown, and Midtown Ventura offer a variety of entertainment and display collectible artwork. There will be demonstrations, lectures, music, and performances to create a unique Ventura cultural experience. The event is free and will take place on Friday, November 3 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. 3. Cavalia Odysseo

Presented under a white big top, the colossal production features over 110 artists and horses in Camarillo. It is a mix of art, technology and advanced engineering that allowed the creative team to design an immense stage with a three-story high mountain and gave the horses and artists space to perform in breathtaking numbers. 4. Midtown Ventura’s Food Truck Friday

More than 20 of Southern California’s favorite gourmet food and dessert trucks gather with live music from Frank Barajas and the Corsican Brothers, free face painting and balloon animals for the kids. The event takes place on Friday, November 17 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and is free to go, but the food truck prices varies. For more information click here.

 

5. The Color Run Ventura

The Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed event in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer. Along the course, participants can paint their aspirations on the Dream Wall and snap photos with giant unicorns. The Color Run caters to all people from first time runners to athletes. At the end of the event, participants join a “Finish Festival” with music, dancing and massive color throws. The run is on Saturday, November 18 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Tickets are available online. 6. 48th Annual Oxnard Gem & Mineral Show

The Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society proudly presents The 48th Annual Galaxy of Gems Expo – “Tourmaline”. Hosting about 70 display cases that will showcase the talents and artistic skills of members and guest exhibitors. Some of the displays and activities are directed towards teaching students about the earth sciences. Activities throughout both days will include demonstrations of lapidary techniques, glass-bead making, wire wrapping and rock polishing. A silent auction will offer rock and mineral treasures. On hand will be a select group of dealers with gems, minerals, fossils, stone beads, Idaho opals, silver craft, finished jewelry, tools, lapidary supplies and books about earth science and more.
