About: Join us at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center as we honor the lives of our ancestors and loved ones. The celebration is set to feature community offrendas (altars) adorned with marigolds, sugar skulls, and candles. Learn about the meaning of the Day of the Dead through community story tellers and guest speakers who posses a deep understanding of this ancient holiday. Live performances by Folklorico and Mexica dancers will be held throughout the evening as well as family oriented activities like face painting, crafts, and fun activities for all ages. Seasonal Mexican food and drink will be available throughout the event so be sure to bring an appetite.
