The band is best known for their legendary hits such as Flashlight, Atomic Dog, We Want the Funk, and One Nation Under a Groove among many others. George Clinton is one of the foremost innovators of funk music. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic are one of the most influential funk bands in history who’ve inspired Hip Hop artists like Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and top R&B artists. Since the 1960’s they’ve cultivated a funk style based on harmony, syncopation, call and return, gospel, filling pockets, and grooves with their all star cast of funk musicians.
