Area 805 Autonomous Innovation Center
Located at Camarillo and Oxnard Airports, Area 805 will provide the infrastructure needed to test and scale eVTOL aircraft and autonomous aviation technology, right here in California.
What is Area 805?
Area 805: Autonomous Innovation Center will transform Camarillo and Oxnard Airports into California’s premier civilian AAM ecosystem through three strategic investments: a state-of-the-art Innovation Center with incubation space, high-capacity eVTOL charging infrastructure, and a comprehensive R&D Lab for rapid prototyping. Through the Fathomwerx partnership, companies gain unprecedented access to the Navy’s largest testing ranges in the US, R&D support, and defense procurement opportunities. With Urban Air Mobility LLC’s $20M hangar development and our 300-square-mile FAA-approved testing range, Area 805 creates the complete dual-use technology ecosystem needed to generate 300+ quality jobs while ensuring disinvested communities access emerging opportunities.
