Hive Autonomous Innovation Center
The HIVE Autonomous Innovation Center is Ventura County’s flagship public/private innovation infrastructure hub. HIVE’s mission is to bring together enterprise, defense partners, education institutions and the public sector to accelerate development, testing, and commercialization of dual use and autonomous technologies. The HIVE utilizes U.S. military assets and civilian infrastructure such as three warfare centers and the FAA approved Area 805 Advanced Air Mobility Test Range which boasts a 500 square mile aerial test range.
The convergence of military, private, and public sectors are central to the HIVE’s mission: technology developed and tested at the HIVE has immediate access to world-class military test infrastructure, creating a direct pipeline from prototype to deployment-ready systems for both commercial and defense markets.
