About: Oxnard Police Activities League is proud to host the 2024 International PAL Boxing Tournament. The inaugural boxing tournament currently represents participants from nine countries. The organization has a rich history of producing world champion boxers and notable fighters throughout the years. The competition will feature multiple weight and age class divisions including PeeWee, bantam, intermediate, junior, youth, seniors, men’s and women’s open divisions.

The Oxnard Pal Gymnasium is located just 63 miles north of Los Angeles. 324 miles from Las Vegas Nevada, and 363 miles south of San Francisco.
BY TRAIN:
The tournament is only a few minutes away from nearest Amtrak/Pacific Surfliner station. Once you arrive at the at your destination, use a ride sharing app to get to the Gymnasium.
BY AIR:
Ventura County Coast is located near three major airports. Santa Barbara Airport to the north is just 46 miles away from the tournament. Hollywood/Burbank Airport is just a little over an hour’s drive from the tournament with being just 64 miles away. LAX is about an hour and a half away being at a little over 67 miles away.

Hollywood Beach to Santa Clara River Estuary: 5 miles one way, on sand. Begin at Hollywood Beach volleyball courts to the Santa Clara River estuary. View Map
San Buenaventura State Beach to Surfer’s Point: 1.6 miles one way, on pavement. You can opt for running on wet sand as well. View Map
Best Trail Runs
Chumash Trail: 0-1260 feet in 1.3 miles: Chumash trail is a heart pounding steep trail that will challenge experienced athletes. Run to the top then head down, or explore the vast trail network. View Map
Harmon Canyon Preserve: The preserve offers a network of trail loops that range from easy to moderate. View Map
Arroyo Verde Park Loop: This moderate trail offers up 2.3 miles of various uphill, downhill, and flat running track making it a popular run for athletes and outdoor lovers. View Map
