Day 1

Stay!

Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach is a dog-friendly hotel; pups of any size are welcome for an additional $75 fee. Be sure to call before booking to make sure a pet-friendly room is available.

Located steps away from the beach and just minutes from Ventura Pier and the downtown area, Crowne Plaza is the ideal spot. Bring your dog to the beach for a day of play; leashes are required, so add one to your packing list.

Ready to explore? Take the free trolley from your hotel for a short ride to Ventura Harbor Village. Grab lunch at The Parlor, a vintage-themed restaurant featuring a 1940s-style soda fountain, burgers, hot dogs, and more! They even have a “Paw-lor” menu with dishes made just for dogs.

Dogs will enjoy a stroll down the Promenade, which has plenty of doggie bag stations, a grassy lawn area, and a water fountain and photo booth designed just for them!

Eat!

Is it time for a pick-me-up? Take the trolley back toward your hotel to Downtown Ventura and stop by Palermo Coffee for delicious coffee, tea, gelato, pastries, chocolates and gourmet dog treats! Take a moment to relax and eat your treats outside on the dog-friendly patio.

Coffee not your thing? No problem. On the same street, you’ll find Anacapa Brewing Co., a craft brewery with great food and dog-friendly outdoor seating.

Day 2

Eat!

Order human food at Noah’s New York Bagels in Ventura and get a water bowl and doggie bagels for your pup.

Grab lunch at The Waypoint Cafe at the Camarillo Airportand watch planes soar overhead on the dog-friendly patio.

Located in the beautiful Channel Islands Harbor, The Waterside Restaurant and Wine Bar  serves entrees made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

About a 20-minute drive from Crowne Plaza, Camarillo Grove Dog Park is an enclosed dog park with lots of shaded areas and a doggie drinking fountain. There are great trails throughout the park as well.

Shop!

Check out the Camarillo Premium Outlets featuring 160 shops and services. The outlet mall offers a wide variety of shopping opportunities and dining. It is dog-friendly as long as dogs remain on a leash.
