Get your kicks with hay rides, treats, live entertainment, and freakishly huge pumpkins that will shudder away even the most menacing apparitions. At McGrath Farm’s Great Pacific Pumpkin Patch in Ventura, you’ll find fun exhibits, hay rides, kids activities, entertainment, and a wide selection of gourds that the entire family will love. Underwood Family Farms near Camarillo, has turned their pumpkin patch into a month long Fall Harvest Festival with live bands, pig races, corn maze, and eerie-sistible treats. In a hurry? Halloween Events to Die For
Ventura County Coast is brimming with Halloween events for kids of all ages. The highly anticipated Parade of Frights kicks off the first Saturday on or before Halloween. This watercraft parade is a spooky spinoff of our beloved Christmas Parade of Lights event. Marathon runners will be delightfully terrified as the annual Haunted Housing 4k Run/Walk marathon returns to the Ventura County Coast. Looking for a spine chilling good time? Camarillo Old Town will be hosting the annual Boo Fest with fun activities for all ages including a costume contest, trick or treat, and a horribly good carnival! Looking for early festivities? Port Hueneme’s Spooktacular Celebration will be dishing out Halloween fun for the entire family. Finally, Ventura Harbor Village will be hosting their annual three day Halloween bash, featuring the witches paddle, howl-o-ween dog costume contest, kids trick-or-treat spooktacular, and the wildly popular thriller dance.

These ghoulishly scary experiences will send shivers down your spine with frights and frills around every corner. Nothing beats a haunted experience at one of California’s oldest Haciendas, Olivas Adobe. Get into Halloween Spirit by visiting a real life haunted house! Ventura County Coast is dotted with Haunts and Jaunts that will terrify the bravest souls. The cities of Port Hueneme, Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura each have supernatural hot spots that are sure to give you the chills.
Celebrate Life and Culture on Dia de los Muertos
Immerse yourself in an ancient meso-american tradition that celebrates the lives of passed loved ones and family values through artistic expression. El Panteon “The Cemetary” Festival in Oxnard’s Heritage Square will be featuring traditional Mexican musicians, folk dance, and colorful adorations called “offrendas” for all to enjoy. In Camarillo they will be honoring the dead with festivities, colorful displays, music and dance at the annual Dia de Los Muertos Ceremony & Celebration. Oxnard Performing Arts Center is set to feature community contributed altars with colorful decorations, family photos, and traditional Mexican crafts at the Dia De Los Muertos Community Altar celebration. Join us as we invite all to partake in this cherished event with deep cultural roots.
Trick or Treat
Hold onto your broomsticks, we’re not done. The most important Halloween events for kids is upon us. Trick or treat without a scare in the world at these safe venues located throughout Ventura County Coast. Camarillo Premium Outlets will be hosting a special trick or treat event on October 31st. The Collection in Oxnard will be hosting a trick or treat event for the kiddos just before Halloween. Be sure to RSVP and reserve your tickets to this fun filled evening. Looking for seaside festivities? Ventura Harbor Village will both be hosting a spooky fun trick or treat event with face painting, fortune telling, and family activities. Downtown Ventura will be host to a spine tingling costume contest, festivities, and sweet treats for the kiddos.
